Permission sniffer 0.3 adds:
  • Ant task support: the audit task will run an arbitrary Java program and generate the implied policy file
  • No longer needs to be installed as a Java extension

I am looking for feedback and suggestions for what to add next. Current plan is

  • Add the ability to start from an existing set of permissions, instead of building the set from scratch. This will make wildcarding possible in batch (Ant) usage.
  • Add the ability to do a regression comparison. This would allow unit tests to be compared to see if any new permissions are being asserted.
I also would like to get some review of the AuditingSecurityManager. All the weird code is to avoid needing policy file or extensions directory support. Is there an easier way?
